Time for a new kitchen???
Story by Greg Heden, Seville Living Business Sponsor
Describe what your Company does:
Our company provides a simple solution to complex challenges that face the residential remodeling industry. Simply stated, we provide design, product, and installation, all of which is done by our valued employees.
How long has it been in business?
Since 1994 – 24 Years
How many people does the Company employ?
What prompted you to start your own business?
I was disenchanted with the lack of customer service and integrity by many of the contractors I worked for earlier in my career. I felt the intangibles such as punctuality, cleanliness and honesty were often overlooked but as important as the finished product.
Anything extraordinary/unique that your company does:
Our company challenges the status quo of the remodeling industry. We provide a simplistic approach for consumers who want to transform their living space but hesitate to do so because the process is often overwhelming. Our in-house team of experts provide all the resources needed to transform a residential space seamlessly. Premier Kitchen and Bath offers an unsurpassed 10 Year Labor Warranty!
Given your business expertise and the nature of what you do, what advice (whether general or specific) can you offer to the residents of your neighborhood?
Remodeling can be fun! Transforming or freshening your everyday space brings a sense of excitement and enjoyment.
On a macro level, remodeling can be broken down into three main areas: Design (space Planning), Product Specification (Color, texture), and Construction Material Application). Understanding your own abilities as they pertain to these areas is imperative to successful finished product and experience. Hiring a professional to assist you in the areas you have limited experience can greatly influence the success of a project. Premier’s focus is to provide expert handling of all three of these areas. Concept to completion.
How did you decide on this industry?
I attended a vocational program in high school focusing on carpentry. After a short time working in the field I became disenfranchised with the lack of integrity and professionalism in the industry and set out to work for myself, I was 21 at the time. I was attending college and running a part-time business. Upon graduation, I decide to relocate from Rhode Island to Arizona (I heard that construction was booming) so I could devote all my time and energy into launching a successful remodeling business. For the first 10 years in Arizona, I handled all types of remodeling projects but eventually chose to specialize in kitchen and bathroom remodeling. In 2005 we opened our first showroom in Mesa, AZ.
